Thera Cooper
Thera Cooper is Senior Counsel in Tyson & Mendes’ Dallas office. Ms. Cooper has over 10 years of experience handling complex fire/flood subrogation, commercial, product liability, dram shop, catastrophic personal injury, real estate, and construction litigation and appeals.
Ms. Cooper’s extensive experience includes successfully obtaining summary judgment in matters involving workplace accidents, motor vehicle collisions, fire/flood losses, and commercial real estate disputes and multiple favorable judgments at trial. She is also an experienced appellate attorney. Recently, Ms. Cooper’s appellate efforts in a catastrophic personal injury case resulted in her client being completely dismissed. Whether a dismissal, summary judgment, settlement, vigorous defense at trial, or appeal is required, Ms. Cooper is an aggressive, thoughtful, and effective advocate for her clients. She is licensed to practice before Texas and Nevada state courts and before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, and Eastern Districts of Texas and District of Nevada. Ms. Cooper is also admitted to practice before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Ms. Cooper obtained her J.D. from Pace University School of Law. She obtained her B.A. from the University of Arizona.
In her free time, Ms. Cooper enjoys traveling, spending time with her two dogs, and is an active member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.
