Nicholas Gisonda

Nicholas Gisonda is Senior Counsel in Tyson & Mendes’ New York office. His practice focuses on personal injury defense; labor law; the defense of entity defendants where sexual torts are alleged, including child sexual abuse; and legal malpractice defense.

Handling cases from inception through trial and appeal, Mr. Gisonda has used his skills in legal research, writing, and oral argument to achieve optimal results in courts throughout New York State. His successes include dismissals, summary judgments, voluntary discontinuances, and indemnification claims. In addition, Mr. Gisonda has extensive alternative dispute experience, which has resulted in successful mediations during all phases of litigation.

Mr. Gisonda obtained his J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2000, where he participated in the Criminal Defense Clinic and served on the Cardozo Journal of Conflict Resolution. He obtained his B.A. from Swarthmore College in 1997, where Mr. Gisonda majored in Philosophy and served as Program Director for the college’s radio station.

In his free time, Mr. Gisonda enjoys spending time watching horror movies with his wife. He can also be found managing his fantasy sports teams and solving crossword puzzles.
